The Office of School Safety (OSS) Resource Center provides critical incident response when a school experiences a critical incident and they require additional resources. When a request for critical incident response is received by the Resource Center, Resource Center analysts will contact either the Director of OSS or the Deputy Director in order to approve the deployment. The approved deployment will mobilize multi-disciplinary teams that will take an all-hazards approach to crisis management and will be trained in: Incident Command System, threat assessment, and trauma informed practices. Schools can contact the OSS Resource Center two ways:
- A toll-free number: 1-800-MY-SUSO-1 (1-800-697-8761)
- Email address: schoolsafety@doj.state.wi.us
